What You'll Do;
As a Department Sales Manager Clubs with Golf Town (GT) your main purpose of the position is to drive sales, profitability and customer service in our retail stores through developing and driving a selling culture, fostering company values and culture and growing the sales and profit through gaining a solid understanding of customer needs.
  • Lead the sales floor (including MOD responsibilities) to drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service across all departments.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels through scheduling, payroll support, and real-time floor coverage.
  • Recruit, train, and coach associates on customer service, selling skills, product knowledge, and operational processes.
  • Motivate and engage team members through huddles, recognition programs, contests, and performance feedback.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally while reinforcing service standards.
  • Execute and maintain merchandising, visual presentation, and promotional standards to maximize sales and customer experience.
  • Ensure timely execution of product flow, including new arrivals, transfers, and stock replenishment.
  • Oversee pricing accuracy, competitive pricing alignment, and completion of price changes and audits.
  • Monitor inventory integrity through cycle counts, discrepancy investigations, and stockroom organization.
  • Deliver specialized product support (e.g., fittings, repairs, technical guidance) to enhance customer experience and sales.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including safety, loss prevention, cash handling, opening/closing, and security procedures.
  • Support performance management, employee records, and ongoing training through LMS, vendor sessions, and evaluations.
What You'll Bring;
  • Post secondary education or equivalent
  • 3-5 years progressive experience in retail supervisory or management capacity.
  • Must be a certified fitter and have 3 to 5 years of progressive golf sales and fitting experience.
  • 1-3 years experience in the Pro Shop (regripping, reshafting and club adjustments) is an asset.
  • A passion for retail with a strong understanding of the game of golf.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic with an ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Organized, able to prioritize and follow-up efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to relate to and motivate staff.
  • A commitment to high company standards.
Work Hours
  • Flex schedule - some weekends and evenings.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
