Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Assistant to support our team in a dynamic office environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and be proficient in various office software, including Sage Accounting and Microsoft Office. This role involves managing daily office tasks, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring smooth operations within the office. Benefits available after probation period; Pension voluntary before probation period is over and mandatory after probation.

Duties

  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in Sage Accounting and other software.
  • Manage filing systems, ensuring all documents are organized and easily accessible.
  • Answer multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing excellent phone etiquette.
  • Greet visitors at the front desk and assist with customer inquiries.
  • Provide clerical support, including typing, proofreading documents, and preparing reports.
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks as needed, maintaining financial records accurately.
  • Support staff by managing documenting and recording information for recycling and waste collection contracts
  • Maintain a clean and organized office environment to promote efficiency.

Requirements

  • Previous office experience is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for customer support and interaction with team members.
  • Experience with data entry and clerical tasks is essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Familiarity with Sage Accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to assist others in a team-oriented environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$25.00 per hour
