Job Description

We are currently looking for a customer focused, dynamic sales associate that enjoys fashion and interacting with guests. The position is full-time, on a permanent basis.

• Salary: Starting at $18.00/hour + Commission

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the day to day running of the store including opening and closing procedures
• Ensuring that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting, acknowledging and re-approaching every customer
• Driving sales - offering styling and sizing advice, making suggestions and offering alternatives, maintaining knowledge of all brands, products, and in store promotions, suggestive selling
• Use of POS system for cash/debit/credit transactions, refunds and exchanges
• Receiving deliveries, unpacking, price labelling and steaming new garments
• General daily cleaning and tidying of the store and its contents to a high standard
• Replenishing and organizing merchandise, monitoring floor stock and inventory
• Merchandising and changing displays/mannequins as directed, maintaining visual merchandising standards throughout the store
• Following operating procedures and policies
• Being an ambassador for our small local business

Requirements

• Customer service experience essential
• Retail/sales experience desirable
• Excellent spoken and written English proficiency
• Outgoing and able to communicate with associates and customers
• Friendly disposition and positive attitude
• Experience with a POS system is an asset, but not required
• Knowledge and passion about the fashion world is a bonus!

Staff housing may be available depending on availability but is not guaranteed, as such we will prioritize applicants who do not require help with accommodation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 44.0 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Banff, AB T1L 1H1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
