St. Lawrence Optometry is seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing team. As the first and last point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional experience while helping ensure the smooth operation of our clinics.

About the Role


As an Administrative Assistant, you will support both our patients and clinical team through a variety of front-office and administrative responsibilities. You will be responsible for appointment coordination, patient communication, insurance processing, and supporting clinic flow throughout the day.


Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner
  • Schedule appointments and manage clinic calendars using practice management software
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
  • Process payments, insurance claims, and patient transactions
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Support patient check-in and check-out processes
  • Assist with patient pre-testing and preparation for examinations as needed
  • Coordinate communication between patients, doctors, and team members
  • Support general administrative duties to ensure efficient clinic operations


What We're Looking For

  • Previous administrative, reception, or customer service experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate
  • Healthcare, optometry, ophthalmology, dental, or medical office experience is considered an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional customer service abilities
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • Comfortable learning and working with technology and software systems
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • Reliable, dependable, and committed to consistent attendance
