Position Summary

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Clubhouse Operations Manager serves as the primary day-to-day operational leader of the clubhouse and member-facing operations at High Park Club.

The role is responsible for providing operational continuity while supporting a welcoming, organized, and service-oriented club environment. Key areas of responsibility include food and beverage operations, vendor coordination, communications and social media, front-line staff leadership, operational support for Club programming and events, and maintaining a consistently positive member experience.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role that requires strong operational coordination, sound judgment, and a commitment to exceptional member service. The Clubhouse Operations Manager provides day-to-day operational leadership and continuity during periods when the General Manager is away from the Club.

Why This Role Matters

High Park Club is experiencing continued growth and increased year-round activity. As Club activity continues to expand, we are seeking a hands-on operational leader who can help ensure excellent member service while providing leadership and coordination across clubhouse operations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing staff leadership, member service, food and beverage operations, communications, and day-to-day problem solving in a fast-paced and highly visible environment.

What You'll Do at High Park Club

  • Oversee day-to-day clubhouse operations and member-facing services
  • Lead, support, and schedule front-line clubhouse staff
  • Maintain exceptional member service standards and help create a welcoming Club environment
  • Coordinate food and beverage operations, including beverage inventory, ordering, and vendor management
  • Coordinate vendors, suppliers, and service partners to support smooth clubhouse operations
  • Support operational readiness for Club programming, events, and facility rentals
  • Manage routine member communications, social media, and digital content
  • Monitor service quality and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and member experience
  • Build positive relationships with members, staff, volunteers, vendors, and community partners
  • Provide day-to-day operational leadership and continuity during periods when the General Manager is away from the Club

What We're Looking For

  • Strong operational leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced service environment
  • Experience supervising, motivating, and supporting front-line teams
  • Strong hospitality and member service instincts, with a commitment to creating positive member experiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Sound business and operational judgment, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement practical solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships with members, staff, volunteers, vendors, and external partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
  • Experience using POS systems, scheduling platforms, membership management software, and other operational software tools
  • Comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support Club operations and events

You are someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and keeping things running smoothly. You are equally comfortable supporting front-line staff, responding to member concerns, coordinating with vendors, and stepping in wherever needed to ensure a positive member experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a private club, hospitality operation, recreation facility, sports organization, or similar member/customer-focused environment
  • Experience with operational leadership, hospitality, food and beverage operations, event support, or member service responsibilities
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Recreation Management, Event Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Smart Serve certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Experience with curling, tennis, pickleball, or other member-based sport and recreation organizations is considered an asset
