Job Title: Operations Specialist
Responsible to: Head of Operations
Salary: 68-75k
Department: Operations
Location: Vancouver Office
We are hiring a full time (40hrs/week) operations specialist to maintain our group of companies’ daily operations, including analysing, optimizing and auditing operational processes, overseeing junior operations team members, and liaising with external stakeholders.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with inter-departmental teams to identify and assess and develop systems to mitigate operational gaps and risks.
  • Assess, propose and develop improvements to optimize operations, logistics, customer experience and records management systems.
  • Manage discovery, development, deployment and implementation of assigned business and operational projects and initiatives.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to maintain timelines, manage expectations and deliver outcomes within agreed schedules, budgets and to business requirements.
  • Develop, distribute, train and drive adoption of updated business processes.
  • Analyze and advise on the business’ required operations management practices and methods.
  • Investigate, review and report on the performance, efficiency and effectiveness of existing operations management policies and procedures.
  • Implementation of improvement plans and processes.
  • Develop and maintain quality management programs and conduct quality audits on system policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance, support and training to staff and organizational departments to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration with contracted agencies and external stakeholders for operational and business development projects.
  • Supervise, train and develop junior and clerical operational staff.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:
  • 3+ years of applicable and proven operations and/or business
management experience .
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, commerce or engineering or an equivalent of applicable experience.
  • Relevant retail or associated industry experience an asset.
  • Project management, change management, risk management and leadership experience.
  • Experience with project management tools, methodologies and technology
  • Detail oriented and ability to analyze and improve operational and inter-departmental processes.
  • Results oriented and driven.
  • Strong people management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem solving and time management skills.
