Job Description:

The Speech Solution Centre (www.thespeechsolutioncentre.ca) is hiring a Full/part-time/fee Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment: Conduct in -person formal and informal Speech and Language assessments, interpretation, goal setting, progress notes writing and report writing.
  • Consultation: Provide consultation to school teachers/childcare, other professionals that are in the circle of care of Complex cases to inform treatment planning and service delivery. Work collaboratively with parents and other professionals as needed.
  • Treatment: Deliver evidence-based treatment for clients (individual, group, or parent training) analysis and goal setting, documentation, progress monitoring, and discharge planning as well as delivery of caregiver education and training.
  • Supervision of support staff: Supervise support staff; this includes reading notes, observing sessions, discussing cases and providing support as needed.
  • Administration: attend the Centre meetings as needed, scheduling client appointments, managing the speech and language client files and documentations.
  • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of all sensitive client data.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech and Language Pathology
  • Registered with CASLPO
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Availability on evenings and weekends
