We are seeking a confident charistmatic Maître d' | Floor Manager to become the face of our dining room. This is a leadership role for someone with natural warmth, confidence, and presence—someone who can effortlessly connect with guests, inspire a team, and orchestrate a busy restaurant with grace and precision.

You will lead our front-of-house team during service, ensuring every guest receives a memorable experience while maintaining the pace, professionalism, and attention to detail that define Chambar. Whether welcoming a first-time visitor, recognizing a returning regular, guiding your team through a busy service, or turning a challenging situation into a lasting impression, you lead with confidence, humility, and generosity.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate all front-of-house activities to ensure seamless service delivery in a fine dining setting
  • Lead staff training and development initiatives to enhance team performance and customer satisfaction
  • Manage shift schedules, monitor food preparation processes, and oversee food handling procedures to uphold safety standards
  • Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices
  • Operate POS systems for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the restaurant
  • Assist in interviewing and hiring new team members while fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth
  • FOH Staff training and team leadership in hospitality

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within a fine dining environment
  • Familiarity with POS, Reservation and Scheduling systems for efficient transaction processing and labour cost controls
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training, team management, and shift supervision
  • Excellent hospitality and customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of hospitality
