What you'll do (the highlights)

As a Senior Direct Support Professional , you are a F ull -Time leadership team member and the lead staff on shift , responsible for coordinating daily operations, supporting your team, and ensuring high-quality care.

What that looks like:

  • Working a bi-weekly rotating schedule featuring a mix of daytime, evening, and weekend shifts.

  • Leading and coordinating staff on shift to ensure all responsibilities are completed.

  • Providing direct support including personal hygiene, grocery shopping, housekeeping, meal preparation, and socialization.

  • Ensuring the environment is clean, safe, and comfortable.

  • Supporting medical needs including appointments, medication, and follow-ups.

  • Organizing the day, monitoring routines, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation.

  • Reviewing staff documentation, time tracking, and incident reports for accuracy.

  • Supporting staff through guidance, task assignment, and real-time coaching.

  • Encouraging and supporting people at DASCH to engage in community activities based on their likes and abilities.

  • Advocating for people at DASCH, ensuring their best interests are always prioritized.

  • Being a role model to both staff and people supported by promoting independence, dignity, and respect.

What you bring (and why you’ll thrive here)

Your qualifications:

  • Completed Grade 10 in Canada, or you have achieved Level 6 on the Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment.

  • A Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s License (Intermediate Stage acceptable).

  • Have a smart device with internet access.

  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or related education.

  • Demonstrated leadership or experience guiding others in a team environment .

  • Starting Wage: $22.00 per hour.

  • Full-Time Schedule
