Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and dignity.
  • Support medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, promoting healthy eating habits.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and enhance mental well-being.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a hygienic environment.
  • Monitor clients’ health status, report changes or concerns to healthcare professionals promptly.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to prevent injuries for both clients and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement care plans that meet each individual’s unique needs.

Skills

  • Prior experience in assisted living or nursing home environments demonstrating familiarity with senior care practices.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia.
  • Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Competence in basic household chores including cleaning and meal preparation.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing care requirements while maintaining professionalism.
