Full job description

Winery Hospitality Leader

We’re looking for shiny happy people to work at our fun winery, Frisky Beaver | Smoke&Gamble. A great outlook and positive attitude is a must!

This position is full-time and requires alternate weekends and frequent evenings.

You must be self-motivated and able to act independently to solve problems as they occur, with minimal oversight, excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and a strong work ethic.

This is an opening for someone to work with our lead ambassador in being an example to our tasting room staff in promoting our wines, and offering our guests an extraordinary experience of customer service in a warm and fun atmosphere.

You will help co-manage and grow our social media and mailing list accounts with consistent messaging that follows each brand’s story board.

While this is a leadership role, during slow season with lower staffing you will certainly be in a “jack of all trades” position – knowing the jobs will make it easier to teach and mentor!

Some of the qualities we would like to see in an applicant include the following:

  • Ability to train and coach new staff with an emphasis on maintaining a happy, fun and positive customer experience.
  • Help maintain our exceptional standards in the tasting room and outdoor kitchen while ensuring quality, cleanliness and compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Our winery is sparkling clean, where nothing is out of place. You will help lead our staff in ensuring that our high standards are maintained in every public area.
  • Maintain inventory levels and coordinate supplies for tasting room and kitchen operations.
  • You must be reliable and responsible. Absolutely 100%. You will be working with a team where everyone supports each other in a warm and fun atmosphere.
  • Good with computers. You’ll know your way around Word, Excel, and all online and social applications.
  • Attention to detail is really, really important. We’re dealing with alcohol compliance and various regulatory agencies, we have to be precise.

What we offer:

  • Staff wine perks - because, obviously.
  • One-of-a-kind work environment at one of Canada’s most distinctive wineries.
  • A tight-knit crew and an experience you won’t forget.
  • We’re all really nice. Mean people need not apply.

Apply through Indeed with your resume. We thank all applicants for their interest.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Seasonal
