ORUMA Multi Cuisine Bistro is a growing restaurant in Scarborough offering a unique blend of South Indian and multi-cuisine dishes. We are passionate about quality food, great service, and creating a welcoming dining experience for our guests.

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has experience in Indian or South Indian cuisine, works efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and maintains high standards of food quality and hygiene.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
  • Assist with food prep, portioning, and plating
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
  • Monitor stock levels and inform management of shortages
  • Support in receiving and storing deliveries

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a line cook or similar role
  • Knowledge of Indian / Kerala cuisine is an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Food Handler Certification (preferred)
