Overview

Rahat Bakery is an established bakery franchise opening a new location, and we are currently building our team for the upcoming opening. We are looking for a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to join our team. Join our vibrant bakery team as a Baker and bring delightful baked goods to life! In this dynamic role, you'll craft a variety of delicious treats, from classic breads to intricate cakes, ensuring each product meets our high standards of quality and freshness. Your creativity and passion for baking will help create a warm, inviting atmosphere where customers eagerly anticipate their next sweet or savory experience. Whether you're mixing dough, decorating cakes, or preparing baked goods for display, your expertise will be essential in delivering exceptional culinary delights every day.

Job Type: Part-Time
Pay: $17.60–$20 per hour, based on experience
Start Date: November 2026

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and bakery products
  • Follow recipes and maintain consistent taste, quality, and presentation
  • Prepare ingredients and manage daily pastry production
  • Ensure products are fresh and properly stored
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • Assist with developing and preparing specialty bakery items
  • Work efficiently during busy production periods
  • Monitor ingredients and notify management when supplies are running low

Qualifications:

  • Previous pastry or bakery experience preferred
  • Experience with Middle Eastern, South Asian, or traditional bakery products is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and presentation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, organized, and hardworking
  • Food Handler Certification is an asset

Skills

  • Proven experience in baking or pastry arts within a restaurant or food industry setting
  • Skilled in cake decorating techniques with an eye for detail and aesthetics
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Excellent customer service skills to engage with customers positively and address their preferences or questions
  • Experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations to support overall bakery functions
  • Familiarity with packaging methods that preserve product freshness during display or transport

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
