Full job description

We are seeking a Restaurant Manager to complete our team, the successful candidate will be someone with excellent customer service and enjoy a fast-paced environment.

Hotel Overview

With a unique designation of heritage building, the Hotel Sylvia is privately owned. It is a city landmark and one of Vancouver’s greatest treasures and soul of the West End. The location is a favorite for business travelers wanting to be out of the busy downtown core, for families vacationing on the beach or for romantic getaways. This is one of Vancouver’s best kept secrets to gaze over the seawall while enjoying sunset and non-pretentious experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· You are a restaurant professional who will assist the F&B Director and other management in all areas of restaurant operations. You are an experienced trainer and can inspire your team to provide a great guest and staff experience.

· You have some understanding of restaurant financial to contribute with schedules, inventories, food quality issues, voids and promo.

· Handle all guest interactions with the friendliest and professional level of Hospitality

· Correspond with previous shift regarding any issues needing attention

· Oversees the day-to-day restaurant operations and will be responsible for executing a flawless guest experience

· Ensures the COVID safety plan and security of all employees and guests

· Check and investigate any unresolved matters from the day

· Weekend and evening shifts are required

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be a minimum of 2 years of experience as Restaurant supervisor and have a desire to gain experience that will help further your career

· Demonstrate a passion for guest service and creating exceptional guest experiences

· Excellent knowledge of the city, including local events, restaurants, shopping and attractions.

· Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Computer proficiency

· Demonstrates good judgement, common sense and quick thinking

· Shift flexibility, including weekends, evenings and holidays

· Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
