  • Address and resolve any guest or staff concerns that arise during a shift.
  • Complete all closing duties as indicated by the General Manager.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and ensure timely service.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the restaurant's menu, including specials and promotions.
  • Accurately input orders into the POS system and manage transactions.
  • Act as a liaison between the front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure seamless service.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation of utensils and surfaces.
  • Assist in post-shift cleanup to ensure the restaurant is always ready for guests.
  • Engage in suggestive selling and upselling techniques to increase guest satisfaction and sales.
  • Handle payments accurately, processing cash and credit card transactions.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including liquor laws, health codes and operational standards.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of serving experience and 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • ProServe Certification and First Aid Certificate required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and excellent memorization skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Knowledge of point of sale (POS) systems and basic cash handling.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Maintain professionalism, cleanliness, and personal hygiene at all times.
  • A genuine passion for the restaurant industry and providing excellent customer service.

Why work for Sorrentino's Cucina + Bar:

  • Work with a family-owned business that values its people and community.
