FOUNDING CLINICAL SPECIALIST (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) Not Just a Job...

A Chance to Help Build the Future of Bone Health in Canada.

Applications are now being accepted.

What if your next role wasn't simply another scanning position?

What if it gave you the opportunity to become part of a movement that is changing how Canadians think about bone health, prevention, and patient empowerment?

Wallis for Wellness is seeking an exceptional Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to become our Founding Clinical Specialist as we expand one of Canada's most innovative preventative musculoskeletal health programs.

This is far more than a job.

It is an opportunity to help build something extraordinary from the ground up while working alongside one of Canada's most recognized voices in preventative health.

About Wallis for Wellness

For more than 30 years, Wallis for Wellness was recognized as an award-winning integrative and preventative health clinic, dedicated to helping people move beyond symptom management and take a proactive approach to lifelong health.

Founded by Margaret Wallis-Duffy, a Registered Massage Therapist with a background in Kinesiology, the clinic became known for its collaborative, patient-centred philosophy and commitment to introducing innovative technologies and evidence-informed care long before they became mainstream.

Today, Margaret continues that mission as the Founder of PHAM (Preventative Health Awareness Month and Movement), recognized by Health Canada, and through Become the CEO of Your Health—a national education, prevention, and community platform designed to empower Canadians to take ownership of their health.

Our vision is bold.

To help transform healthcare from a reactive system into one that is preventative, proactive, collaborative, and patient empowered.

About REMS

REMS (Radiofrequency Echographic Multi Spectrometry) is an innovative, Health Canada-approved, radiation-free bone health assessment technology providing valuable information about both:

✔ Bone Mineral Density (T-Score)

✔ Bone Quality & Microarchitecture (Fragility Score)

This revolutionary technology is helping reshape the future of osteoporosis assessment while expanding access to populations who have traditionally had limited options for bone health evaluation.

Why This Opportunity Is Different

This isn't a traditional imaging position.

You'll have the opportunity to:

✔ Work with one of the world's most innovative musculoskeletal health technologies.

✔ Become a founding member of a growing provincial and national initiative.

✔ Learn directly from an experienced healthcare entrepreneur, educator, speaker, and thought leader with more than 30 years of clinical and business experience.

✔ Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, pharmacists, kinesiologists, dietitians, exercise professionals, and other healthcare providers.

✔ Participate in REMS on the Road, bringing innovative technology directly into communities across Ontario.

✔ Enjoy flexibility in your schedule and work environment.

✔ Receive specialized REMS training while adding a unique skillset to your professional toolbox.

✔ Grow professionally within a culture that values mentorship, innovation, collaboration, and lifelong learning.

✔ Help shape what preventative musculoskeletal healthcare looks like in Canada.

Who We're Looking For

We're searching for someone who is:

  • A Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (or eligible)
  • Passionate about prevention and patient-centred care
  • Compassionate, professional, and people-focused
  • Excited to embrace innovative healthcare technologies
  • Comfortable working independently while thriving as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Adaptable and energized by working in a variety of clinical and community settings
  • Committed to continuous learning and professional growth
  • Inspired by the opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up
  • Looking for more than just another job

Opportunity Details

This is an independent contractor (subcontractor) opportunity designed for a motivated healthcare professional seeking flexibility, variety, and the opportunity to grow alongside an innovative organization.

This role is ideal for someone who:

✔ Wants to complement an existing position or gradually build additional work.

✔ Values flexibility in scheduling and enjoys working in diverse clinical and community environments.

✔ Is excited by the opportunity to help build a new model of preventative healthcare.

✔ Wants to expand their expertise through specialized REMS certification and training.

✔ Sees tremendous value in working alongside experienced clinicians while helping shape the future of musculoskeletal health.

As our provincial footprint expands, so too will the opportunities.

Your Role

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing REMS Bone Health Assessments
  • Delivering an exceptional patient experience
  • Maintaining the highest clinical standards
  • Supporting clinics throughout Ontario
  • Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals across disciplines
  • Participating in educational events, demonstrations, and community outreach
  • Helping establish Canada's premier preventative bone health program

Comprehensive REMS training will be provided.

What We Believe

We believe healthcare is stronger when we work together.

We believe prevention should be accessible.

We believe education empowers better decisions.

We believe technology should improve lives—not simply produce reports.

We believe every patient deserves to feel heard, supported, and empowered.

Most importantly...

We believe every Canadian deserves the opportunity to become the CEO of their Health.

Ready to Build Something Extraordinary?

We're looking for someone who is ready to grow personally and professionally, embrace leading-edge technology, and become part of an already established and growing movement that is helping transform musculoskeletal healthcare in Canada.

This isn't simply an opportunity to perform scans.

It's an opportunity to help build a legacy.

Immediate opportunity available.

If you're excited about innovation, collaboration, education, prevention, and making a meaningful impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Please submit your resume, cover letter, and a brief note sharing why this opportunity resonates with you to:
