Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer / Full-Stack Developer to support the development, integration, and maintenance of software applications and systems used in an aerospace engine testing environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering and operations teams to develop reliable software solutions supporting engine testing, data acquisition and control, thermodynamic analysis, and production systems.

This is a primarily remote position, with occasional on-site presence required in the Montréal area.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, integrate, and support applications and systems used for aerospace engine testing.
  • Develop solutions supporting data acquisition and control systems, thermodynamic analysis tools, and production environments.
  • Participate throughout the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture, development, testing, validation, deployment, maintenance, and support.
  • Collaborate with software and engineering project teams in an Agile environment.
  • Participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, code reviews, testing strategies, and implementation planning.
  • Develop and execute software test plans to ensure functional and technical requirements are satisfied.
  • Improve software development, integration, and deployment processes using DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
  • Work closely with engineering and operations teams responsible for engine performance and conformity verification systems.
  • Troubleshoot existing applications and systems and provide ongoing maintenance and technical support.
  • Contribute to the reliability, availability, security, and long-term maintainability of critical testing applications.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • Previous experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Experience developing software for test cells, test benches, laboratories, industrial control, or data acquisition systems.
  • Knowledge of aircraft or engine testing environments.
  • Knowledge of engine thermodynamics.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Experience supporting mission-critical or high-availability engineering applications.
  • Knowledge of real-time systems, instrumentation, data acquisition, or hardware/software integration.
