What will you be doing?
As a Development DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the software development lifecycle by implementing and maintaining the tools and processes necessary for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation. You will work closely with development teams to streamline workflows, optimize software releases, and ensure efficient and reliable software delivery. Your expertise in development tools, cloud infrastructure, and automation will contribute to the success of our software projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with development teams to design, implement, and maintain a robust and scalable DevOps infrastructure and toolset.
- Automate build, deployment, and testing processes to achieve continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Develop and maintain deployment pipelines, scripts, and configuration management tools to automate the release and deployment of software applications.
- Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and scalability of the development infrastructure and applications.
- Identify and resolve issues related to software build, deployment, and configuration, ensuring smooth and efficient software releases in Bitbucket.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve development workflows, enhance collaboration, and optimize software delivery processes.
- Maintain and enhance version control systems, repositories, and branching strategies to facilitate efficient code collaboration and versioning.
- Coordination and communication within the team and with customers
- Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
- Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- Proficient in Windows, Linux, Python, PowerShell, and other related OS and programming languages.
- 2+ years experience as a DevOps Engineer or a similar role, preferably in a software development environment.
- Knowledge with SQL Server, MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps principles and best practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Familiar with computer networking-related knowledge.
- Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms, particularly Azure Platform.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Travis CI.
- Experience with Version control systems such as TFS (and Azure DevOps Servers) or Git.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership and execution capability.
- Coordination and communication within the team and with customers.
- Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation.
- Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible.
