Full job description

Associated Youth Services of Peel (AYSP) is an accredited, not-for-profit charitable organization, supporting children, youth and families with mental health and/or youth justice issues. AYSP’s team of professionals bring a wide range of knowledge and professional experience from diverse backgrounds to our workplace. Our teams have a strong collaborative work ethic and we are committed to ongoing professional development. AYSP provides a client-centered, strength-based approach to engage in a manner which is culturally sensitive, non-judgmental and respectful. Working together with our service partners, using a multi-systems perspective, AYSP provides services that are evidence-based and evidence-informed.

We are currently seeking a Clinical Program Supervisor to join our dynamic team.

Job Type: Permanent Full-time (one vacancy)
Location: Hybrid - Head Office in Peel Region
Hours of Work: 35 hours a week (days & evenings)

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision for a team(s) of registered Counsellors
  • Assist with program planning and development and community capacity building
  • Provide leadership and work collaboratively with community partners and children, youth and families
  • Facilitate individual and peer supervision meetings, as per the program model(s)
  • Establish and maintain professional alliances with community agencies
  • Assist in the recruitment of prospective staff and provide orientation and training to program staff
  • Monitor program targets to ensure maximum utilization of the program(s) and complete program statistics and annual program reviews, identifying service provision issues, trends, outcomes, statistical analysis and overall evaluation of the effectiveness of the services
  • Support the 24-hour Supervisor on-call system, on a rotational basis
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years within the mental health sector, including supervisory/leadership experience
  • Registration in the appropriate professional regulatory body under the Psychotherapy Act is required
  • Demonstrated leadership, clinical and administrative skills
  • Knowledge and experience with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, care management, crisis intervention, youth engagement, family therapy and utilizing a trauma-informed approach
  • Familiarity with child/youth and adult services in Peel and experience developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with community partners
  • Fluency in French or other languages is considered an asset
Salary Range: $84,272 – $93,636, commensurate with experience
