Full job description

Experienced Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker (3–5+ Years)

In-Person – Danforth & Pape (Toronto) - Serving Ontario, Alberta, BC and SaskachewanIndependent Contractor (minimum 10 hours in person and/ virtual hours per week)

About Shanti Psychotherapy

Shanti Psychotherapy is a well-established, community-rooted clinic serving children, youth, adults, couples and families across diverse cultural communities in Toronto. Our experienced Danforth clinicians are currently full and we are expanding to meet high client demand.

We are currently seeking an experienced clinician to join our in-person team at our Danforth & Pape location.

We are particularly interested in therapists with strong experience working within culturally diverse communities and encourage applications from clinicians with lived experience and/or deep cultural competence in this area.

This role is best suited for a confident, independent clinician ready to grow their private practice in a referral-rich group.

This is not a suitable position for new graduates or those requiring intensive supervision. Currently our RP Q program is full for new applications.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation
  • Full administrative and intake team support, direct billing
  • Established marketing and steady referral flow
  • Beautiful, renovated office steps from Pape Station
  • Flexible scheduling for virtual and 15 hours required for in person work
  • Supportive, collaborative team culture
  • Robust group supervision and advanced clinical training opportunities; including EMDR, culturally relevant psychotherapy, attachment therapy and more.
  • Opportunities for community workshops and outreach involvement
  • Health Benefits

Our infrastructure allows you to focus on clinical work, not marketing, billing or admin.

Position 4: Therapist — Underrepresented Communities Program

Shanti Psychotherapy is expanding language and cultural access for clients whose communities are not currently reflected among our clinical team. As part of this initiative, we're seeking a clinician who can offer therapy informed by cultural context and, ideally, in a language other than English.
