About Us

Escapes.ca is a leading Canadian online travel agency specializing in all-inclusive vacations. We help Canadians discover and book unforgettable beach getaways with ease while providing superior customer support. We are looking for a creative storyteller to bring our travel experiences to life on social media.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a charismatic, camera-friendly Social Media Content Creator to elevate our content and connect with our audience in a fresh, engaging way. If you’re someone who loves travel, thrives on creativity, and isn’t afraid to step in front of the camera, this role is for you. You’ll be responsible for creating fun, informative, and highly engaging video content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

The ideal candidate is creative and performance-driven and can elevate our online presence while producing high-impact video content that supports brand growth and revenue objectives. This role blends video production, social media coordination, and performance alignment — ensuring content not only looks strong creatively, but drives measurable engagement, awareness, and bookings. You will collaborate closely with Performance Marketing and Leadership to align storytelling with campaign goals and business growth.

This is a marketing and content production role focused on social media strategy, on-camera video creation, editing, publishing, and performance reporting. It is not a travel advisor, booking, or sales role.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Work with the Marketing team to develop a social and video content strategy aligned with overall business goals.
  • Build monthly content calendars tied to campaigns, seasonal pushes, and promotional periods.
  • Align organic social activity with paid campaigns to maximize reach and efficiency.
  • Stay current with platform algorithm changes, trends, and emerging formats.

Video Production & Creative Execution

  • Produce high-quality YouTube reviews, travel features, and campaign-driven video content.
  • Create short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) optimized for engagement and discoverability.
  • Deliver assets formatted for paid ads, organic social, landing pages, and email/SMS campaigns.
  • Apply video SEO best practices (titles, tags, thumbnails, hooks).
  • Support campaign launches, seasonal promotions, and high-profile giveaways.
  • Assist with photo and video shoots as needed.

Social Media Management

  • Plan, create, and schedule content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Reddit.
  • Monitor engagement and respond to comments and messages, directing users to the appropriate booking or support channels.
  • Foster community engagement and brand loyalty.
  • Collaborate with influencers or brand partners when applicable.

Performance & Analytics

  • Track and analyze social and video performance (engagement, reach, watch time, subscriber growth, conversions).
  • Monitor KPIs such as engagement rate, watch time, audience growth, conversions, CPC, and CPA (for boosted content).
  • Prepare monthly performance reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Work closely with Performance Marketing to iterate on high-performing creative angles.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • YouTube subscriber growth and watch time
  • Social engagement rate and audience growth
  • Timeliness and quality of video deliverables
  • Contribution to campaign performance
  • Cross-functional satisfaction (Brand, Performance, Email/SMS teams)

Platforms & Tools

Editing & Production

  • Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
  • After Effects
  • Canva or Adobe Creative Suite

Analytics & Management

  • YouTube Studio
  • Meta Business Suite
  • TikTok Ads Manager
  • Google Analytics
  • Metricool
  • ClickUp

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 1–3+ years of experience in social media, video production, or digital marketing.
  • Strong storytelling ability and ability to translate campaign messaging into engaging video content.
  • Charismatic and comfortable on camera.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different platforms.
  • Experience shooting and editing short-form video content.
  • Analytical mindset and understanding of performance metrics.
  • Organized, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented.
  • Collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in travel, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
  • Experience managing influencers or partnerships.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS.
  • Travel experience in Mexico and the Caribbean.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Creative freedom to test and experiment with new ideas.
  • Opportunity to directly impact brand growth and bookings.
  • Remote work flexibility and opportunity for travel.
  • Competitive salary and benefits.
  • Clear growth path into Senior Social Media Content role.
