Summary

Permanent Positions:

We are seeking passionate and nurturing RECEs/Enrolled ECE Apprentices/Otherwise Qualified (Recreation and Leisure, Ontario Teacher Qualified, Child and Youth Worker) to join our before and after-school teams at multiple locations within our organization:

  • Oxbow Public School located at 13624 Ilderton Rd. Ilderton, ON
  • Wilfrid Jury Public School located at 950 Lawson Rd. London, ON
  • Orchard Park Public School located at 50 Wychwood Park, London, ON
  • Sir Arthur Currie Public School located at 2435 Buroak Dr., London, ON
  • Parkview Public School located at 10008 Oxbow Drive, Komoka, ON
  • East Williams Memorial Public School located at 4441 Queens Ave, Ailsa Craig, ON

**Non-ECEs and other relevant qualifications, with experience, may be considered for short-term contracts. Wages will vary for candidates depending on the individual's qualifications and experience. Benefits do not apply for short-term contracts.

Hours: 25 hours per week with the option to work in between hours in childcare when they are available.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:15-9:15 a.m. and 3:00-6:00 p.m. (candidates must be able to work both morning and afternoon shifts Monday to Friday)

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive and compassionate care for children in a safe environment.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
  • Support children's social, emotional, and physical needs through engaging play and interaction.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and well-being.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the highest quality of care is provided.

Requirements

  • RECE/Enrolled ECE Apprentice/Otherwise Qualified (Child and Youth, Ontario teacher qualified, Recreation and leisure)***these qualifications are preferred
  • Experience in early childhood education.
  • Strong caregiving skills with a focus on child development.
  • Ability to create a positive learning atmosphere for children.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of working with children with disabilities is an asset.
  • Most locations require a vehicle.
