Day Shift Line Cook

SMITH Restaurant | Inn at the Forks

$17.50–$18.50 per hour/plus gratuities | Day Shift | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Do you take pride in great food, clean execution, and working as part of a strong kitchen team?

SMITH Restaurant at Inn at the Forks is looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our culinary team. Located at The Forks, SMITH is a contemporary restaurant focused on quality ingredients, thoughtful dishes, and an exceptional dining experience.

This is a great opportunity for a cook who enjoys a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a professional culinary team—while working a consistent daytime schedule.

What you'll do

  • Prepare and cook menu items to recipe and chef specifications.
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, flavour, presentation, and consistency.
  • Take ownership of your assigned station and keep it organized, clean, and service-ready.
  • Work closely with the Chef and culinary team to deliver smooth, timely service.
  • Stay focused and organized during busy periods while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, storage, and kitchen procedures.
  • Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented kitchen environment.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of culinary experience, preferably in a busy restaurant, hotel, or similar kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and direction while also taking ownership of your station.
