Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Skilled Trades Instructors to join our educational team. This role involves delivering hands-on training and theoretical instruction in various skilled trades, helping students develop practical skills and industry knowledge. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in trades, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by preparing students for successful careers in skilled trades.

Duties

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to skill levels and industry standards
  • Conduct classroom and practical training sessions in various skilled trades such as Plumbing, Gas fitting, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic.
  • Assess student progress through evaluations and provide constructive feedback
  • Maintain a safe and organized learning environment, adhering to safety protocols
  • Collaborate with industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance and up-to-date practices
  • Assist students with hands-on projects, troubleshooting, and skill development exercises
  • Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques into instruction
  • Support student recruitment efforts and participate in community outreach initiatives

Experience

  • Proven classroom experience in teaching or training within a skilled trade environment
  • Strong background in the trade you specialize in (min 10 years Journeyperson experience)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to diverse learners
  • Prior experience with curriculum development is a plus
  • Teaching certification or relevant credentials are desirable but not mandatory

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
