Why Join Longterm Technology Services?
- We are committed to professional excellence by investing in our employees. We provide a training program that will obtain valuable Siemens certifications that will ensure you have the expertise to excel and lead in the industry.
- Be part of a mission-driven team shaping the future of digital manufacturing.
- Work directly with executive leadership and industry experts.

Role Summary
LTS is growing, and we are building a pipeline of strong IT talent for upcoming opportunities. This position is not for an active vacancy. As part of this, we are seeking an IT Specialist who can own, troubleshoot, and improve real-world systems across infrastructure, identity, and enterprise applications. This role is hands-on. You’ll be working directly with production environments, resolving complex issues, deploying solutions, and helping ensure system reliability for both internal and customer environments.
What You Will Do
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues across enterprise systems, infrastructure, and applications.
· Deploy and support IT solutions in customer environments.
· Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and security.
· Perform system maintenance (updates, backups, monitoring).
· Assist with infrastructure upgrades and cloud-related initiatives.
· Automate repetitive tasks using scripting.
· Work cross-functionally with engineering, support, and project teams.
· Create clear technical documentation for systems and processes.
What We Are Looking For
Required for Application
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate real experience, depth and problem-solving ability. With that in mind we don’t want a list of your certifications, tools and skills you have acquired, we want to understand how you have deployed these to real life situations.
Please include the following in your application. Note: applications that do not include these components may not be fully assessed:
1. A specific example of a system or environment you’ve worked on
(what it was, your role, and what you were responsible for)
2. A technical problem you personally solved, including:
o What went wrong
o How you diagnosed it
o The steps you took to fix it
o The outcome
Core Skills & Experience
· Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking
· Ability to work across multiple systems (infrastructure, applications, identity)
· Clear communication (technical and non-technical)
· Familiarity with modern IT environments (cloud, networking, enterprise systems)
· Scripting or automation experience (e.g., PowerShell or similar)
Examples of Relevant Experience (Not Required)
We expect candidates to have experience in some, not all, of the following areas:
· Identity & access management (e.g., Azure AD / Entra ID, SSO)
· Endpoint or device management (e.g., Intune, Autopilot)
· Enterprise application support (e.g., PLM systems like Teamcenter)
· Windows Server environments and system upgrades
· Networking and VPN configuration
· Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
· Basic database or SQL experience
Our Hiring Process
We prioritize depth of experience over breadth of tools. We are most interested in what you’ve actually built, supported, or improved—and how well you understand it. We design our process to focus on real ability and application of your skills so you can expect the following if you are selected for further assessments:
· An in depth discussion where you’ll walk through your past work in detail.
· Follow-up questions on your troubleshooting approach and decision-making.
· A short, practical technical exercise.

London, ON N6G 4X8: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

We may use technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), to assist in screening, assessing, and selecting applicants. We are committed to providing a fair, accessible, and inclusive recruitment experience in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code, the Accessibility for Ontarian with Disabilities Act (AODA), and applicable privacy legislation. Applicants may request accommodation or an alternative method of assessment at any stage of the recruitment process.
