Type of position: Trainee


Your future role on our team

This is a unique opportunity to work with experts and engineering professionals across Canada on interesting and challenging projects. You’ll work closely with our experts, senior engineers and designers on heavy industrial projects in the mining and power sectors, including studies, and will serve as a technical resource.



With us, you’ll get the opportunity to...

  • Help carry out study or detailed engineering mandates for clients with existing facilities or for those wanting to expand or build new facilities (brownfield and greenfield)
  • Participate in multidisciplinary mandates as part of a work team comprised of engineers and technicians
  • Participate in analyzing various types of technical problems related to industrial mechanics and piping
  • Prepare plans, technical data sheets and specifications based on guidelines for mechanical mandates
  • Prepare calculations, lists and bills of materials in accordance with codes, standards, drawings and other established methods while complying with the firm’s quality system requirements
  • Prepare presentations, minutes of meetings and reports
  • Assist more experienced personnel with the technical aspects of complex tasks

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • University student in a mechanical engineering program
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite and other applications as well as databases and interfaces
  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to drive in mountainous areas around Trail, BC
  • Available for short-term (mandatory) and long-term (asset) assignments at client offices or sites in British Columbia and potentially other parts of Canada or the United States
  • Asset: mechanical experience in the industrial, energy or mining sectors
  • Asset: bilingual (English/French)

Hourly Wage $25.00 - $31.00

BBA considers various factors to determine the annual base salary such as, but no limited to: Education, relevant and demonstrated work experience about the position, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other relevant competencies.
