Irwin’s Safety is currently looking for a Commercial Vessel Operator for a multi-year contract based in Port Moody, starting immediately.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must possess:

  • Valid SVOP certification
  • Valid MED A1, A2 or A3 certification
  • ROC-M
  • Valid driver's license (Class 5 or better), clean driver's abstract and a minimum of 3 years Canadian driving experience
  • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test (including THC)
  • Experience operating a commercial vessel is preferred

Responsibilities:

The Commercial Vessel Operator will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of a vessel's operations including:

  • Voyage planning
  • Crew management
  • Paperwork
  • Must be able to operate the vessel on either day or night shift. All shifts are 12 hours
  • Must have great customer service skills and be able to work well with the public.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$37.50 per hour
