Duties

  • Safely install roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, or membranes according to project specifications and safety standards
  • Use hand tools like hammers, screwdrivers, and utility knives to cut, shape, and secure roofing components
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
  • Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment to facilitate efficient workflow
  • Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofing systems
  • Assist with site preparation, including framing, carpentry tasks, and layout marking
  • Conduct inspections during installation to verify quality control and adherence to safety protocols

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with hand tools, construction work, or carpentry is highly desirable
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
  • Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work in various weather conditions
  • Knowledge of caulking techniques for waterproofing applications
  • Prior handyman or construction experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards
  • Willingness to learn new skills related to roofing installation
