Job Overview

Colpitts Carpentry & Outdoor Living is hiring a Carpenter or Carpenter Labourer with hands-on experience in residential carpentry. We build decks, sheds, home renovations, interior and exterior carpentry and outdoor structures. We’re looking for someone reliable who can use tools confidently and assist or work independently depending on skill level.

Duties

  • Assist with or perform carpentry tasks such as measuring, cutting, framing, and assembly
  • Work on interior renovations (trim, flooring installation, drywall repair, framing, minor interior updates)
  • Work on exterior projects (decks, sheds, fences, siding repairs, exterior trim)
  • Operate hand and power tools safely (saws, drills, nailers, etc.)
  • Load/unload materials and maintain a clean job site
  • Work independently on simple tasks if experienced
  • Follow safety procedures and communicate clearly
  • Travel to job sites around Colchester County

Qualifications

  • Carpentry or construction experience required (helper-level or carpenter-level)
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Comfortable using basic tools
  • Reliable transportation
  • Good work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions

Schedule & Pay

  • Full-time or part-time
  • Monday–Friday
  • Wage based on experience and skill level
