Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Food Preparation Worker to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences. This role involves preparing food items, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. A background in culinary arts or experience in the food industry is highly desirable.

Duties

  • Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including proper food handling practices
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and addressing their needs
  • Process transactions using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, including cash handling and cashiering duties
  • Upsell menu items to enhance the customer dining experience
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Follow all health and safety regulations related to food preparation and storage

Experience

  • Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen roles is preferred, particularly in quick service or fast food restaurants
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math applications
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices is essential
  • Customer service experience is highly valued, with an emphasis on serving and bussing skills
