Required Skills and Experience:

  • Working knowledge of all applicable regulations governing transportation across various provinces (not limited to Hours of Service, Weights and Dimensions)
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships with all customers, employees, vendors, and management
  • Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Demonstrate time management and priority setting skills
  • Ability to maintain composure in a fast paced environment
  • Must be highly organized and able to multitask
  • Must be accustomed to busy phones
  • Ability to adjust priorities on short notice
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Previous dispatch experience is necessary
  • Pipeyard experience
  • ELD Experience is an asset but not required
  • Picker operator/highway hauling experience is an asset but not required

Job Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

  • Dispatch picker operators, highway haulers and delivery drivers
  • Prepare field tickets for invoicing
  • On call 24 hours a day while on shift
  • Act as a liaison between customers, drivers and operations communicating instructions, permits and all other applicable information
  • Manage hours of services for drivers
  • Book permits as required
  • Assist in preparing bids/flat rates for specific jobs
  • Search for loads to match any empty equipment (back hauls)
  • Manage and invoice rental equipment
  • Help with the onboarding process to orientate new hires
  • Provide mentorship to employees

Annual salary to be based on experience

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Lloydminster, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
