Service Representative and Territory Manager

Job Title: Service Representative and Territory Manager

About LoCI Controls

LoCI Controls is the leading provider of real-time monitoring and control systems which provide actionable insights to increase gas capture and cut methane emissions from landfills. This enables landfill operators to optimize performance, improve environmental compliance, and increase renewable gas recovery. Our systems combine hardware, analytics, and field expertise to deliver actionable insights directly from the landfill.

We are expanding into Canada and are seeking our first regional hire—a high-impact individual who will play a critical role in building our presence and supporting customers across Eastern Canada.

The Opportunity

This is a unique, ground-floor role combining field operations, customer support, and business development. You will be responsible for deploying and supporting LoCI systems at landfill sites while also engaging directly with customers to identify opportunities and expand our footprint.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, is comfortable working independently, and can confidently represent a technical solution to customers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, commissioning, and maintenance of LoCI systems at landfill sites
  • Troubleshoot field issues and coordinate with internal teams to resolve technical challenges
  • Conduct routine site visits to ensure optimal system performance
  • Train customers and site personnel on system use and best practices

Customer Engagement & Sales Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers in Eastern Canada
  • Identify opportunities to expand LoCI deployments
  • Support sales efforts through site visits, product demonstrations, and technical discussions
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with landfill operators and environmental teams

Territory Development

  • Help establish and grow LoCI’s presence in Canada
  • Provide feedback on market conditions, customer needs, and competitive landscape
  • Support regional strategy and contribute to business growth initiatives

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in landfill operations, landfill gas (LFG) systems, or environmental field services
  • Hands-on field experience (installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting of mechanical/electrical systems)
  • Comfortable interacting with customers and representing a technical product
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel regularly (primarily within Ontario and Québec)

Preferred

  • Experience with landfill gas systems, SCADA, or environmental monitoring equipment
  • Sales or account management experience in an industrial or environmental setting
  • Bilingual (English and French) strongly preferred
  • Mechanical, environmental, or technical background (degree or equivalent experience)

Safety

  • Responsible for following the HSE Program at Loci Controls
  • Participating in all site-required safety training
  • Must comply with all applicable workplace health and safety laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including those administered by Québec's occupational health and safety authority, Commission des normes, de l'équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CNESST).

  • Follow written procedures, work instructions, and on-the-job training

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat. He/she may at times be exposed to dangerous and/or toxic substances and must take necessary precautions to protect eyes, nose and skin from irritation and infection.

Work requires domestic and local travel. May require some overnights. Work may require evening and weekend work.
