Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Co-Habitating Caregivers/Household Managing Team to join a private household. These roles involve providing personalized care, managing household operations, and ensuring a comfortable, organized living environment. The ideal candidates will be proactive, reliable, and capable of balancing caregiving responsibilities with household management duties in a collaborative setting.

A beautiful and separate carriage suite will be provided (3-bedroom, shared between the two caregivers).

Our best candidates would be a couple (friends, family, or co-workers) who would be working alternating shifts.

About Our Family:

We are seeking a dedicated, professional, and warm couple to provide companionship, light care, and household management for our independent 96-year-old mother-in-law. She lives on our property in a fully accessible, private seniors' suite attached to our single-family home. We live right next door, but we want to ensure she has consistent, dedicated support on-site. Because we require 7-day coverage, we are hiring a team of two people to share the responsibilities cleanly, ensuring both individuals get ample, legally compliant rest and privacy.

Shift Structure & Predictable Evenings:

We respect your personal time and structure our schedule to prevent caregiver burnout.

Active Day Blocks:

Daily active hours are generally 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Breakfast, lunch, morning cleaning) and 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Dinner prep and evening transition).

The 8:00 PM Hand-Off: A public Health Authority worker arrives every night at 8:00 PM to handle the bedtime routine. At 8:00 PM, your active shift ends cleanly, and you are free to retreat to the carriage house for the evening.

Overnight On-call: One team member will be on-call each night for occasional wake-ups.

7-Day Rotational Coverage: The couple will coordinate schedules to ensure one person is always "on duty/standby" while the other is completely off the clock, guaranteeing both individuals get their legal, consecutive weekly rest periods.
