Summary

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting our mission of providing top-tier service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean up and reconcile financial records, eliminating discrepancies and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Oversee full-cycle accounting for multiple entities. (Hold Co's and Op Co's)
  • Handle daily accounting tasks (A/R, A/P, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger management).
  • Prepare and review trial balances, ensuring financial integrity.
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with timely financial reporting.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly tax filings and regulatory compliance.
  • Consolidate financial statements across entities, managing inter-company eliminations and reconciliations.
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting, tracking, and depreciation schedules.

Software Transition & Process Improvement:

  • Implement best practices for financial reporting, internal controls, and automation.
  • Develop and document accounting policies for consistency across entities.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement structured process improvements.

Lender & Banking Relations:

  • Collaborate with lenders and banks, preparing financial reports and due diligence materials.
  • Maintain and reconcile floor plan financing records.
  • Manage banking relationships, oversee cash flow, and optimize liquidity.
  • Ensure compliance with loan covenants and financial reporting requirements.

Leasing & Rental Division Accounting:

  • Oversee financial reporting for the leasing division, ensuring transactions align with accounting standards.
  • Implement lease accounting existing/new softwares and reconcile lease payments, depreciation, and obligations.

Team Leadership & Training:

  • Train and mentor accounting staff
  • Provide ongoing coaching and foster a culture of accountability and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role in the automotive industry is required.
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, NetSuite, and similar accounting software is required.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
