Full job description

Opportunity:

WeVend is currently seeking a Full Stack Developer to develop and maintain both front-end and back-end applications which support our break through payment processing technology. This position is based at our head office location in North York, ON. WeVend is a Fintech, iOT and payment device solutions provider, enabling seamless device control and payments technologies for targeted retail verticals.

Duties

  • Plan, develop, optimize, and maintain web applications using a variety of programming languages
  • Collaborate with Solutions Architect, Third Party providers, and product managers to create new functions and features that are optimize for user experience
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for various business verticals
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to ensure the best practices are implemented
  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
  • Meet established commitments and plan personal work responsibly
  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
  • Create and maintain software documentation for releases
  • Troubleshoot application bugs and determine/implement resolutions
  • Optimize and refactor existing code to improve performance and reliability

Requirements:

  • Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
  • High attention to details while helping others do the same
  • Ownership of your work and your projects, establishing deadlines, and communicating progress proactively
  • Eager to research and learn in a self-directed way (always improving)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
  • Strong development skills using Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, C++, .NET, XML, React
  • Experience with JSON, RestAPIs, AWS APIs
  • Experience with developing payments, e-commerce, transaction processing platforms
  • Experience with both SQL and NoSQL database systems such as MongoDB/Amazon DocumentDB
  • Experience using version control systems such as Git
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS
  • Experience with NoSQL database systems such as MongoDB/Amazon DocumentDB
  • Strong communication and writing skills and ability create documentation/release notes
