Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Security Systems Technician and become a vital part of safeguarding facilities through expert installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced security systems. In this energetic role, you'll work hands-on with cutting-edge technology to ensure the safety and security of commercial and industrial sites. Your technical expertise will help design, install, and service integrated security solutions that include CCTV, access control, sensors, and low-voltage systems. Duties

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot security systems such as CCTV cameras, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), access control panels, and telecommunication equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to accurately install security infrastructure.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess security needs and develop installation plans aligned with construction drawings and schematics.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to mount equipment, run wiring, and perform system upgrades.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on existing systems to ensure optimal performance; diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to integrate security components seamlessly into the building’s infrastructure.
  • Document installation processes, system configurations, and maintenance activities thoroughly for record-keeping and future reference.

Requirements

  • Proven experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to security or electrical systems.
  • Construction experience or familiarity with building processes is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware, networking principles, and low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of CCTV surveillance technology, sensors (motion detectors, door/window contacts), IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), Electronic Access Control Systems networking setups.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to handle hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, along with power tools like drills and saws.
  • Electrical experience including wiring low-voltage systems safely in compliance with local codes.
  • Ability to interpret schematics accurately and work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to system troubleshooting and repairs.

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
