Casual Educational Assistant Position

Chignecto Family of Schools

CC#26-09-11

The Chignecto- Central Regional Centre for Education is accepting applications for the 2026-27 Casual Educational Assistant List. This is for day-to-day work at various schools within the applicable Family of Schools and Geographic area as identified above.

Items to bring to the interview:
Documentation of education (i.e., Certificate/Diploma/Degree);
CSA Intermediate Workplace First Aid with CPR 'C';
In addition to above, you are also required to provide your original Criminal Records Check of the Vulnerable Sector along with your original Child Abuse Register.

Rate of Pay: $17.07/hr. to $17.42

Requirements:
High school completion certificate or equivalent.
Successful completion of a Certificate/Diploma/Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, specifically in a field focused on child and youth development, including a formal practicum placement.
CSA Intermediate Workplace First Aid with CPR 'C'. (The course must meet Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and Workplace First Aid (WFA) standards to comply with the CSA Z1210-17 Standards).
Ability to perform physical requirements of the position.

All employees require a criminal record check of the vulnerable sector. The CCRCE requires an original check dated within six (6) months from your date of hire. If you are selected for hire you will be provided with a letter from the CCRCE to take your local Police/RCMP Detachment to have this check completed.

All employees also require a child abuse register check. The CCRCE requires an original check dated within six (6) months from your date of hire.

The criminal record check of the vulnerable sector along with the child abuse register check will be reviewed in accordance with the CCRCE policies and procedures.
