ABOUT THE BUSY SCHOOL

The BUSY School Calgary is a newly approved Charter School opening in August 2026, created to re-engage young people in Grades 10 to 12 who have stepped away from traditional education. We combine a high school diploma pathway with real-world vocational training, giving students the skills, confidence, and connections they need to launch into meaningful careers. We are mission-driven, relationship-first, and genuinely different.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Teacher Aide, you will work alongside our teaching team to support students in Grades 10 to 12 who are on their journey back to education. • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of student safety and wellbeing

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Experience in education support, youth work, or a related field (desirable)
  • Qualifications in education support or similar (desirable, not essential)
  • A genuine understanding of the challenges faced by disengaged young people
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with a diverse range of students
  • A self-starter attitude with the ability to manage multiple tasks calmly and effectively
  • A team-first mindset and a positive, can-do approach

WHY JOIN US

  • Be part of building something brand new from the ground up
  • Work alongside a passionate team united by a shared mission
  • Make a tangible difference in the lives of young Calgarians
  • Live our values every day: Inclusive, Excellent, Resilient, Honest, and Innovative
  • Contribute to a school model that is changing what education can look like

All applicants must be able to meet Child Safety requirements, including regular police vetting.
