Set at the top of Hotel X Toronto, Valerie is a three-story venue boasts a space that features a massive hotel rooftop, a 360-degree view of the city and an outdoor all-season pool. A sophisticated dining space and cocktail bar lead the way on the 27th floor, paired with attractive live music and will stream together under one cohesive Japanese influenced concept.

What You'll Do:


  • Greet guests in a courteous and welcoming manner, escorting them to their tables and presenting menus.
  • Provide recommendations on food and beverage selections, taking orders accurately and promptly.
  • Deliver food and beverages to guests' tables with attention to detail and presentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests, questions, or concerns, providing exceptional customer service throughout the dining experience.
  • Assist with table maintenance, including clearing plates, refilling beverages, and resetting tables for the next guests.
  • Process guest payments accurately, handling cash and credit card transactions, and reconciling receipts at the end of shifts.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth communication and efficient service delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including cleaning and sanitizing tables, chairs, and condiment stations.
  • Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service regulations and policies.


What You'll Need:


  • Previous experience as a server in a full-service restaurant or similar hospitality environment is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask while prioritizing guest satisfaction.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Smart Serve certification is required.
  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
