The Opportunity - Bartender, The Barring Steakhouse & Oyster Bar

The Duties

- Advise guests regarding contents of drinks, cocktails and beer - We want you to share your knowledge on our products

- Take orders from guests, ensuring accuracy and prompt service

- Prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer and non-alcoholic beverages

- Relay menu items and products to provide optimum guest service

- Enforce provincial liquor legislation and regulations

- Clean draft beer system, bar area and glassware

- Provide seamless guest service while ensuring they have a memorable experience by providing timely service with an upbeat and positive personality

- Work alongside of the restaurant team to establish a safe and fun atmosphere

The Must Haves

- Minimum two years of upscale bartending experience

- Good working knowledge of classic cocktails

- Advanced wine knowledge i.e., strong regional old world wine knowledge

- Positive and outgoing personality

- Love for building strong relationships with team members, our guests and the community

- An open mind - We will be teaching you lots about craft beer, wine and local ingredients in each one of our dishes

- Knowledge of a POS system is an asset

- A desire to have fun at work, when you have fun our guests do too
