Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Executive Chef by overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and hospitality. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and extensive experience in the food industry to contribute to a vibrant restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of food quality.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet established recipes and customer expectations.
  • Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations.
  • Support the training and development of team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure proper handling of food products, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to coordinate service flow during busy hours, ensuring timely serving of dishes.
  • Maintain a focus on hospitality by serving guests directly when needed and ensuring their dining experience exceeds expectations.

Requirements

  • Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, with strong team management skills.
  • Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within the food industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on kitchen management and staff development.
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, food safety standards, and hospitality best practices.
  • Prior restaurant experience is essential; familiarity with the food service environment is highly preferred.
