Digital Print & Finishing Operator

Location: Calgary, AB

We are a fast-paced commercial printing and apparel decoration company that prides itself on quality, speed, and exceptional customer service. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a motivated Digital Print & Finishing Operator to join our production team.

Position Summary

The Digital Print & Finishing Operator is responsible for producing high-quality digital print products while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency throughout the production process. This role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Operate and maintain digital production equipment, including Xerox Iridesse Production Press, Xerox Nuvera, and Xerox Versant.

· Prepare customer artwork for production, including file setup and prepress.

· Ensure files are correctly imposed, sized, and ready for print.

· Select appropriate paper stocks and substrates for each job.

· Perform colour management and maintain accurate colour consistency.

· Complete routine equipment calibrations and quality checks.

· Troubleshoot print quality and equipment issues to minimize downtime.

· Operate Duplo slitting and finishing equipment.

· Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.

· Maintain production schedules while meeting deadlines.

· Keep work areas organized and equipment clean.

· Work closely with customer service, estimators, and production staff to complete projects accurately and on time.

Qualifications

· Experience operating digital production presses is preferred.

· Experience with Xerox production equipment is a strong asset.

· Knowledge of prepress workflows and print-ready file preparation.

· Understanding of colour management and print quality standards.

· Experience operating finishing equipment such as slitters, cutters, folders, or booklet makers.

· Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.

· Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Ability to prioritize work and meet production deadlines.
