Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and acute care, with the ability to provide exceptional patient care. This role requires effective communication skills in both English and French, as well as proficiency in computer operations, including Outlook. The Technician will play a vital role in supporting healthcare operations and ensuring a high standard of care for patients.

Duties

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of nursing staff.
  • Utilize medical terminology to accurately document patient information and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
  • Assist in acute care settings, ensuring that patients receive timely and appropriate interventions.
  • Operate computers and relevant software applications for data entry and management.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient interactions and treatments.
  • Manage time efficiently to prioritize tasks and meet the needs of patients and staff.
  • Communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members to ensure understanding of care processes.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills related to patient care.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in medical terminology is essential.
  • Experience or training in acute care settings is preferred.
  • Strong background in patient care practices.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
  • Competence in computer operation, including familiarity with Outlook and other relevant software applications.
  • A collaborative attitude with the ability to work well within a team environment.
