Job Overview
Suncrest Colony School in Tourond, MB, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. This role involves fostering a positive learning environment for young children, supporting their developmental and educational needs, and contributing to the overall success of our early childhood education program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and experience working with children in classroom settings.

Duties

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, focusing on early childhood development and foundational skills.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social-emotional growth.
  • Utilize various teaching methods and tools, including LMS platforms, to enhance student learning experiences.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and caregivers to ensure a cohesive approach to each child's education.
  • Incorporate math concepts into daily activities to foster early numeracy skills.
  • Support students with special education needs by adapting lessons and providing additional assistance as required.
  • Proofread and review instructional materials for accuracy and clarity.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, including tutoring and training sessions related to early childhood education and special education strategies.

Experience

  • Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
  • Experience working with early, middle and senior years students
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and classroom management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, co-workers and administrators
  • Demonstrate the ability to differentiate instruction based on student needs
  • Be familiar with current teaching/learning/assessment practices
  • Ability to teach in a multi-age/grade classroom
  • Willingness to respect and adhere to Hutterite Colony cultural expects

Pay: $38,000.00-$77,000.00 per year
