Full job description

Toronto IBI's OUTREACH program (home/daycare/school-based) is looking for looking enthusiastic, mature and EXPERIENCED individuals to fill in part-time Instructor Therapist positions in the North York and Toronto Area.

Instructor Therapists will work one-on-one with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (or other developmental disabilities) in client's homes, daycares or schools, employing ABA / IBI teaching strategies while receiving supervision by a Clinical Supervisor (BCBA).

Successful candidates will have strong independent work skills, have experience working in a home-based or daycare/school setting and collaborate with team members in the consistent implementation of a student's behavioural programs and procedures.

Strong interpersonal skills are a must to work collaboratively with parents and other professionals.

Participation in scheduled team meetings and training conferences are also mandatory when required.

Successful candidates should possess:

  • Experience as an Instructor Therapist (IT) implementing ABA/IBI programming is a MUST (additional training will also be provided as required)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with parents and other professionals
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members
  • A College Diploma or University Degree in a related field
  • ABA/Autism related Diploma/Certificate is an asset.
  • Reliable transportation to work locations (reliable public transit is okay)
