Job Type: Part-Time (In Person)
Compensation: $30–$35 per hour (based on experience)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Part-Time Principal to provide academic leadership and ensure the effective operation of our private high school. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Principal and possess a strong understanding of Ontario Ministry of Education requirements, school inspections, and regulatory compliance.

This role is ideal for an experienced educational leader looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity to support a growing private school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for the school's academic and administrative operations.
  • Ensure the school remains compliant with all Ontario Ministry of Education policies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Lead the school through Ministry inspections and ensure all documentation and records are inspection-ready.
  • Oversee student records, attendance, report cards, transcripts, and Ontario Student Records (OSRs).
  • Ensure compliance with curriculum delivery, credit-granting requirements, assessment, evaluation, and reporting policies.
  • Support teachers through classroom observations, mentoring, and performance feedback.
  • Develop and maintain school policies and operational procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with school administration, staff, students, and parents.
  • Address student, staff, and parent concerns in a professional manner.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Principal is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario Ministry of Education policies and private school regulations.
  • Experience preparing for and managing Ministry inspections and compliance reviews.
  • Thorough understanding of Ontario Student Records (OSRs), curriculum requirements, and school operational procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and provide strategic direction.
  • Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification is preferred.
