Reporting to the Production Manager - Mississauga the Coatroom Clerk (Mississauga) will be responsible for the smooth operation of the coatroom, including organization, replenishment, and quality inspections. Monitors employees while they are putting on the PPE to ensure PPE is worn/applied correctly.

This is an existing position in the company.

Shift: Monday - Friday - AM shift - 5:00am - 2:45pm

What you will be doing:

1. Ensures the plant uniform/garments, janitorial, and safety supply inventory needs are consistently met through diligent monitoring and by reporting inventory levels accurately and the maintenance of stock and tidiness of the Coatroom.

2. Monitors visitors to the Plant, ensuring proper PPE/attire is issued.

3. Performs minor repair (sewing) on garments of the uniform program.

4. Sorts and organizes garments washed/supplied by third party laundry services.

5. Regulates and dispenses garments and supplies to employees and visitors (including hairnets, gloves, and aprons as required).

6. Fills in logs to document supplies being used and record times of cleaning.

7. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the day in the coatroom, hallways, change rooms, and cafeteria. Includes (but not limited to):

a. Refill soap, paper towel and gloves at the handwashing stations, and cleans the handwashing sinks;

b. Clean the change rooms, washrooms, walls and cafeteria; and

c. Empty garbage bins at employee entrances and exits, cafeterias, washrooms, and hallways.

8. Policies, Processes & Procedures

a. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner

What you will bring:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential.
  • High School Diploma.
