Voyago is currently recruiting to fill an existing vacancy for School Bus Drivers for our Ottawa locations. (Stittsville, Dunrobin, Kanata, Barrhaven, Nepean and west end of Ottawa)
This is a split shift (2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon) so being CLOSE to our school coverage area is essential.
Your role:
- You are responsible for safely transporting what we call “the most precious cargo” to and from school
- Ensure students’ safety while boarding and exiting buses.
- Be responsible for performing pre/post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal vehicle safety.
- Help fuel and maintain the cleanliness of the bus. #OTTSCHOOL

Requirements
Your profile
- You are safety focused
- You hold a valid minimum full Ontario G class drivers license, Preference will be given to B class drivers.
- You are 21 years of age or over.
- You possess clean driving record and criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening
- You have a sound knowledge of the Ottawa West region and surrounding areas
- You have the ability to work independently
- You are available for the required split shifts of 4-5 hours total, that could run: Monday - Friday between 6:30am - 9:30am and 1:30pm - 5pm.
- You possess solid communication skills. There will be a pre-hire driving skills and radio communication assessment.

By joining the *Voyago Student Transportation team in Ottawa West, you’ll find
- We offer a competitive hourly driving rate $23.00 per hour.
- PLUS there is a $2000 retention bonus for qualifying drivers - your commitment really PAYS!
- You will be compensated for a 4 hour minimum daily split if you take the morning and afternoon for a full route.
- Opportunities are available with charters for extra hours

- Most routes are 20-25 hours per week.
