Job description:

We are seeking an outstanding, enthusiastic, and educated Educational Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) and a passion for working with young children in our Infant/Toddler and Preschool rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

In-Classroom Roles:

  • Cover sick absences and breaks.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations; report issues to the Principal.
  • Educate teachers on safety and licensing standards.
  • Oversee curriculum execution and classroom schedules.
  • Support and mentor junior teachers, providing resources and activity ideas.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.

Out-of-Classroom Roles:

  • Manage vacation requests and scheduling.
  • Conduct tours and assist with program planning.
  • Organize events and manage social media for special occasions.
  • Provide updates to the Principal and VP on classroom observations.
  • Ensure hallway and classroom boards are updated monthly.

We seek candidates with strong communication, organizational skills, a loving nature, and a positive attitude.

Location and Hours

  • CEFA Surrey - Panorama

All centers are open from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Your work schedule will vary within these hours, with notice provided.

Wage

$23 - $25 per hour, depending on education and experience.

Qualifications

  • Valid ECE Certification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an early childhood leadership role
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience
  • In-depth knowledge and proven experience implementing the CEFA Curriculum (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of BC childcare licensing requirements and early learning best practices
  • Proven experience in curriculum leadership, staff training, and mentoring
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Flexibility to work between 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday
  • Must hold a valid BC Government ID

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
