What you’ll be doing
Our team manages the full lifecycle of application packaging and deployment for the organization. As a Consultant, Application Packaging you’ll be the primary contact for packaging requests and will oversee the queue for Endpoint and Citrix applications. You’ll provide work effort estimates, validate and schedule new requests, and collaborate with project teams to ensure requirements are met. You’ll coordinate the retirement and clean-up of application packages, enforce policies and procedures, and troubleshoot packaging issues as they arise. You’ll attend project meetings, guide high-priority requests, and contribute to process improvements and automation. You’ll work regular business hours and may be required to attend meetings across different locations.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.
How you’ll succeed
-
Coordinate packaging activities - Oversee and manage all application packaging requests, ensuring timely scheduling and completion.
-
Deliver quality solutions - Prepare, customize, and test software packages to meet organizational and project requirements.
-
Collaborate effectively - Work closely with business partners, project teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver packages.
-
Support deployment and retirement - Guide the deployment and retirement/clean-up of application packages across SCCM, ServiceNow, endpoints, and Citrix workspace.
-
Enforce standards - Uphold security, compliance, and operational standards throughout the packaging process.
-
Drive continuous improvement - Identify opportunities to optimize processes and implement automation within the packaging environment.
Who you are
-
You can demonstrate 2-3 years of experience in Windows Installer (MSI packaging format), App-V, VMware ThinApp, MSIX, Citrix XenApp for application virtualization, PowerShell, SCCM, and Windows 11. You have strong knowledge of business dynamics, enabling you to analyze and protect test environment integrity, mitigate risks, and recommend solutions for complex initiatives. You possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, enabling you to effectively manage multiple requests and priorities in a dynamic environment.
-
You embrace and advocate for change. You continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work in order to deliver your best.
-
You're motivated by collective success. You know that teamwork can transform a good idea into a great one. You know that an inclusive team that enjoys working together can bring a vision to life.
-
Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.
