Heavy Duty Mechanic - Prince Albert, SK - 5000$ NEW HIRE BONUS

Location: First Student - Prince Albert, Saskatchewan
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift
New Hire Bonus: $5000

Relocation Bonus: $5000

First Student is hiring immediately for a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Prince Albert maintenance team. We welcome applications from qualified Heavy Duty Mechanics across Saskatchewan. If you're currently located elsewhere in the province and are interested in relocating to Prince Albert, relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates.

What You'll Do

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on school buses and commercial vehicles
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Maintain and repair brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
  • Complete work orders and documentation accurately
  • Respond to mobile service calls when required

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (Red Seal) or equivalent experience
  • Experience with diesel engines, commercial transport vehicles, or transit buses
  • Own a basic mechanic's tool set
  • Commitment to safety and teamwork
